  • This is the best way to flash your ECM/TCM as it gives you control of your ECM to flash different tunes, get AA tune updates, and has engine/trans diagnostics & data logging capabilities. Requires ECM to be sent in to be unlocked unless purchasing outright
  • After the initial unlock, the ECM/TCM can now be flashed at any time using the AA/HP Tuners MVPI3 and your laptop.
    • Does Not require sending in your TCM (Transmission Control Module) as you can flash this without an unlock
    • Standard Unlock Process(Average 5-12 business days): Within 1 business day after purchase, we will send you instructions on sending your ECU to HP tuners. You will be responsible for shipping the ECU to HP tuners. Once at HP tuners, the ECU will take 1-5 business days for HP tuners to unlock. Your ECU will then be sent back via standard ground shipping. Turnaround time greatly varies on your location and how long ground shipping takes to/from HP tuners.
    • Express Unlock Process(Average 3-7 business days): For the continental US 48 states Only. We will send you a UPS Next Day Air label and instructions. You will need to attach this label to your own ECU package, then give the package to your local UPS drop-off location. Once at HP tuners, the ECU will take 1-5 business days for HP tuners to unlock. The ECU will then be sent back to you via Next Day shipping. All other parts on the express flash order will be shipped ground unless otherwise specified/selected during order checkout. Keep in mind we cannot guarantee same day programming or control UPS shipping times/delays. We will do everything possible to turn the ECU around as fast as possible.
    • ECU Exchange option is available for standard shipping (you are responsible) or express (we sent you a next day label) which means we have an ECU unlocked here we will exchange for yours. This saves time as we don’t have to travel through HP tuners to get the unlock done.
    • ECU Outright Option is available for those who want to purchase a complete ECU outright that is unlocked and not have to deal with sending anything to us. We will have TCM’s outright available when back in stock from Polaris.
    • Keep in mind if exchanging or purchasing the ECU outright, your VIN will not match your vehicle. This is not an issue, but just an FYI and it may not sync correctly if you use the Polaris app for maintenance. If you want to purchase an ECU outright with your VIN, we can do this, but it would take a few weeks to get programmed here, then sent to HP tuners for the unlock.
    • ENSURE you INSURE your ECU for $700. AA is not responsible for shipping delays or lost ECUs. While more expensive over Priority Mail or FedEx, UPS has been the most reliable carrier in our experience. We’ll follow up with instructions for ECU removal
  • After unlocking, the MVI3 device allows you to flash the ECM, data log engine parameters, and view/erase trouble codes. This is key for those wanting several tune calibrations as it allows you more than just a simple flash, it allows you to change or go back to a “stock unlocked” file if need be.
  • Laptop and basic computer skills needed to flash. In the future, the smartphone RTD app will allow you to flash without a computer using the same device.

  • Looking for the best/most badass ECU tuning available for your Ranger 1500? AA’s performance tunes are here to gain big horsepower and torque. Through our advanced ECU tuning we are able to modify parameters correctly to gain you the power needed. We are highly experienced in tuning these models and this will show. We have spent many months developing our ECM/TCM calibration and found huge gains. Both the ECM/TCM need to be flashed as they work together for final torque requests and output.
  • The steel belt CVT is a completely new animal in the off road world. Speaking with engineers involved in this project, we have our tuning limited to 72mph on stock tires and do not push the overdrive limits of this transmission. This is for good reason until proper reliability testing can be done. We suggest adding 32-33″ tires to your Ranger to gear it up and get that 80mph which is a safer way to go. The great part about purchasing the HP tuners device is that you can update your flash if higher shift ratios or other updates are found. We always continue to test and better the calibrations, and this gives you the tool to keep them up to date(if need be).
  • The steel belt CVT has many annoying limitations built into it. Some were taken care of through Polaris updates, but many were not. We increase some of these limits to a safe level, but you should always use caution when in a high load situation. These transmissions should have a low range gear set, but do not. They only hold the clutch in a lower shift ratio, so when increasing torque limits, make sure you do not over exceed your vehicles ability. We do keep clutch temp limits in place which are the most important.
  • Gains a massive +23rwhp (+28-30 crank hp, or 115hp stock to 145hp tuned) in sport mode on 91-93 octane and gives the vehicle a completely new feel. Extremely torquey and fun to drive in sport mode! Also improved performance in every other mode, just not as big of increase to keep drivability/RPM’s lower.
  • AA’s wicked timing curve is safe for the fuel octane recommended, but we do a much better job of finding timing limits for ramp up/more torque. Many others simply focus on wide open throttle timing/fueling.
  • AA’s extensively modified fuel curve will still get good mileage cruising, but will be corrected for best power on ramp up and wide open throttle.
  • Pedal to torque request tables altered to give you much better pedal response
  • Radiator fan on/off is 185/181 (Stock is 189/185). Fan speed is progressive, so we also ramp in fan speed much quicker which is where big cooling benefits come from.
  • Rev limit at 7200 (Stock is 6500)
  • 2 foot limits removed (gas/brake at the same time)
  • Seatbelt limiter can be disabled
  • Torque limitations are properly raised to prevent throttle cut

  • Not just dyno tested! We love to dyno to back up our results, but we are avid riders and like the factory, a ton of the testing is done in the field to make sure you are getting 110%. You simply can’t get any better testing than real world. Often times we can make significant changes to further increase power, drivability, and feel of the machine that can never be done on the dyno. We have a longer history of tuning offroad vehicles than nearly all competitors and this will show.
  • Modifying your ECM & TCM will void your warranty due to how intertwined the two are and how they both store data.
