Notes:

These steps are different than the service manual. Do not follow service manual steps. Steps for starting your Pro R stage 3 and above for the first time.

• Roll the engine over by hand at least 10 revolutions clockwise when looking at it from the rear.
• Check Cam timing to make sure it is correct
• Make sure coolant and oil is at the correct level.
• Start the engine and hold above 2000rpm until it reaches 170 degrees F.
• Using the throttle drop rpm 50 rpm per 30 seconds until idle seems unstable.
• Stay at the unstable rpm until it becomes stable and then repeat step 5.
• Once the machine is idling at 1450 stable with no throttle input let sit and idle for 10-15 minutes.
• Your machine is now ready to ride.
• On higher duration cams it is common to need to give a little throttle to start the vehicle this is completely normal.
